Curved Rails Quilt for my Daughter

My daughter is pretty cold-sensitive. We live in southern California, and she still remains cold much of the year. This quilt therefore has a flannel backing, and since that’s a bit heavier than a regular fabric backing, it has flannel instead of batting. (So it has 2 layers of flannel.) She’s happy to have it and now uses it when she’s cuddled up on her couch studying.

  1. I often use flannel instead of batting. Here in South Louisiana you really don’t need heavy quilts even in winter, so the flannel is perfect.

Your curved rails are so pretty!
