In October, Oak Leaf Blocks
This month we are making this 6-by-9 inch (finished size) Oak Leaf block using batik fabrics of your choice for the leaf and stem and cream or tan tone-on-tone (TOT) prints for the background.
Cathie L make this one.
The block pattern directions are here:
The block pattern has been updated since it was sent out as part of the sneak peek and contains a bonus pattern for a scrappy version of this block. The file is quite large (be patient) because of the extra material and lots of photos.
As usual, you may make up to a maximum of 9 blocks for chances in the drawing at the end of the month. As always, if you like, you can make more and donate them to the pot. If you make multiple blocks, you may use the same cream/tan background fabric in all your blocks, but each must be made with a unique batik leaf fabric.

The Virtual Quilt
The blocks in this month’s virtual quilt were made by sneak peekers, Cathie L, Elizabeth C, Ginny, Kathie, Kathleen, MB, Nann, Peggy and me.
These look great. Hope to give them a go
Does the cream or tan tone-on-tone have to be a batik?
