It is dark and gray here, the photo makes my blues look so dark too. I cut the triangles bigger than needed. That way I could trim them down. I put the 3 3/4 line at the top and bottom of the square points, then made sure I had a quarter inch beyond the square. Then I used the lines on the cutting board to make the opposite cut. And rechecking the 3 3/4 line, the quarter in extra line AND the 7 1/2 inch line. I think I ran out of true blues to use here. These can go for donation!
Great Looking Blocks!!! oh you ran out of blues…..darn I suppose you’ll have to go buy more……DRAT!!!! If I’m lucky I’ll get a chance to start making May’s Blocks today.
It’s a gray and VERY windy day here, too … even my cats seem to be complaining about it. I’m staying in and arranging and re-arranging feather blocks on my design wall. and even those bright blocks look a bit gloomy today.
Thanks for the tip Julie I tried it this way and it was correct after I cut it. Mind you I have altered my foot with shims to also get an accurate 1/4″ seam for the bars which were coming out too big. I will have a lot of these to make …I like this pattern for my son …in green and cream. Have a brilliant day Julie!
