Good News, Bad News and … the July Mod-Mod QAL Update
The good news: I’ve begun working on a short contract gig.
The bad news: It might take me a while to remember how to juggle Block Lotto deadlines with a (nearly) full time job. Thanks, in advance, for your patience with me. I’ve been stressing out about whether the contracts and scheduling would come together for the job and haven’t yet made any of my MMQA (Mod-Mod Quilt Along) blocks this month. I am determined NOT to fall behind, but … we’ll see.
For July, in the Mod-Mod Quilt-Along, we’re adding Spokes blocks. Here’s how many blocks you’ll need to make this month, added to the chart of blocks we’ve made so far.
Small | Crib | Throw | Twin | F/Q | King | |
Spokes Blocks | 3 | 4 | 6 | 9 | 14 | 21 |

Congratulations on the job, Sophie! May it be with success and lead to more jobs.
Ooh, a job! How exciting. It does eat into your sewing time, of course… 🙂
Fantastic!! I am so happy for you.
Congrats, Sophie! Such good news. May it lead to a longer one, too. Don’t worry about block lotto deadlines. We all understand.

Congratulations on the job Sophie. I know the feeling – work seems to be getting in the way of my sewing at the moment. I missed last month completely and haven’t managed to make any blocks this month yet so I for one will be very understanding if you don’t make Block Lotto deadlines.
Congrats on the contract! I really hope that it leads to something bigger for you!
My son decided not to take naps AND go to bed later….that as well as my job has limited my sewing time. I think I might actually have to dust the machine off before I fire it up again.
Good luck with the job!

Congratulations Sophie! Understand completely about deadlines…I’m behind in a few myself…Just when I think I’m about caught up and back on track , well out comes the sun and I’m off…Life is good,-don’t sweat the small stuff…it will get done in its’ right time! Just keep enjoying life and what you are working on and it will all be perfect!
