I have two so far to donate! I have not taken the paper off yet- but love the look.
Hope they are wild enough!

I take it your printer could enlarge the block foundation pattern to the required 6″? Alas, nothing I do to mine can accomplish that.
Any helpful info on what to do next?

There are a couple of options to enlarging the pattern:
1) The EASY option is to take the pattern to a local copy place or business and have someone do that for you.
2) The other option (directions for with Windows 10) is to go to your Windows button in the lower left corner of your computer screen and
IMPORTANT: Write down what the setting is that you are about to change so that you can reset it after printing.
right click and select “Printing Preferences”,
right click and select ” Control Panel”,
then right click on the “Devices and Printers” button to open,
right click on your printer (if you have more than one device) and select Printing Preferences to open that box.
One you’ve opened the Printing Preferences block, look at the top and you’ll find 3 tabs. Select the middle tab (More Options) and halfway down in the box is a Reduce/Enlarge box. Select that & type in 120.
Select Apply and OK.
Test print 1 time, and then as many as you want.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to reopen the Printing Preferences block and adjust your settings back to ‘fit to paper’ or ‘100%’ as soon as you are finished so that your printer will go back to printing properly.

Thanks you for both remedies to resizing the rooster pattern..
I don’t have Windows 10 on my pc but DH has so I wil take your instructions to him and see what he can do about it.
Elsewise, will have to take it to Office Depot to enlarge.
Thank you again.

I enlarged mine in my computer by 120% but when I finished paper piecing, the block measures just an 1/8th inch more than 6 inches square. isn’t it supposed to be 6.5 unfinished? what do yours measure Terese?

Barbara — that is what I tried to enlarge mine to — 120% — and still ended up with the printout the original small size.

I use Windows 7 and did the enlarge at the print stage- not at the document stage. Mine finish at 6″ after seam allowance. It will be worth going to a copier place and asking for help.

Hallelujah! I found the scaling place where I can enlarge the pattern to 120% — it was hiding not on the main page of my print area but under another page. So I was successful in printing the roosters out to 120%
Don’t know why it took me so long searching all over to find this scaling button!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to all for bearing with me in my frustration and for all your assistance.
Curiously, and I think because we have different paper sizes (A4), I eventually worked out that I could copy with an enlargement of 128%. I first printed it from the pdf, measured the sections, and worked out the fraction to get to 6″ finished. Still to make though…weekend looms!
