9 string hearts for Kathleen
Here are my 9 blocks for February. A word of warning to those who are still making this block – look before you sew the two halves together to make the heart, or your strings will point the wrong way (ask me how I know!) Loved using up some of my seemingly bottomless basket of string scraps. 
I know these are supposed to be random strips, which they were as I was using scraps. Sitting on the design wall, I notice that I seem to have beheaded a lot of chickens and cows – and the one on the upper left drove me so crazy that I finally gave the poor thing a face from another scrap piece. It is ironed on with steam-a-seam, and sewed around the edge, so should stay
