Diagonal Bars and Tip
Here are three Diagonal Bar blocks I made for the drawing. They were deceptively simple to make. Deceptive because a 4 3/8 inch square just didn’t work for me even with the careful 1/4 inch seam allowance. Mine kept coming out to 7 1/4 rather than 7 1/2 inches. With a bit more fabric to work with, say a 4.5 inch square, I was able to get the right sized block.
I’m going to give that a shot…I want to make a green and cream quilt with this block but, found it tricky! I have adjusted my 1/4 foot that wasn’t on my machine so maybe life will get easier LOL…Have a brilliant week!
