The won April blocks are a top
It has been hard to get pictures. I have a lot of block lotto related quilt tops done, but this is the only one I have a picture of right now. I wish I would have done the same thing to the orange corner stone as I did with the blue ones…adding a triangle to the corners of the block. Live and learn.
Until you start quilting it, it’s not too late to change your mind if you feel strongly about it … but I wonder if adding the corners to turn the orange cornerstones into shoo-flies wouldn’t be too much? You could always use some orange thread and quilt the triangles in …
Whatever you decide to do (or not), I really like this!
Julie, your layout is awesome! I think adding to the orange cornerstones would make the quilt too busy. This design leaves just enough white space to allow the viewer’s eyes to rest and appreciate the pattern.
Oh It’s gorgeous!! Can I copy you? I really really think that it turned out fabulous….I wouldn’t want it any other way!!!
what a great setting idea. You now have a unique quilt.
That is simply gorgeous! I like it just as it is. The orange gives a little bright spot, but doesn’t take over, which easily happens with orange! Great quilt, very creative setting.
ABFAB! I really like the solitary orange square as it gives the eye a place to rest & the blue addition really stands out
FANTASTIC! I wouldn’t change a thing.
