A finish with a Block Lotto oldie!
I am excited to share with the Block Lotto community a quilt I just finished. I used Sophie’s flower pattern from August 2011 for the border. I love it! This quilt would not have been the same without this border.
I have always referred to this quilt as my “Autumn Flowers” because of the autumn colored flowers. Below is a close up photo of the block with the names of friends and family who made each block and when they made it. Yes, the first block was made in February 2004 and the last one in March 2005. Each person was asked to make a flower block, any size and any pattern, out of the color scheme. I must have added the border some time after August 2011 when Sophie used the Violet Block for the Block Lotto. I did not win the blocks, but I put the idea to good use.

When I saw this quilt on your blog, I was hoping you would also share it here. I love the “autumn” color palette. I receive more email from people looking for that violet block pattern than any other and I love seeing it show up in projects as the man event or … a great border like yours.

I love, love, love the whole quilt, especially the pansy on the far right with the little white squares. Where did you find the pattern for that pansy?
