A reminder about the Guidelines

This month’s block can be made from 2 or 3 fabrics … but NOT 4 fabrics.

The center (or pie shape that will become the center when four blocks are sewn together to form a bullseye) and the second arc around the center must be the same fabric.

Graphically, these drawings represent your two options for fabric placement:

You can certainly start with a stack of MORE than three fabrics which is what I did when I made the four blocks for my rainbow graduated sampler. If you follow the directions in the block pattern, it tells you how to shuffle the stack of 3 or more fabrics to create 3-fabric blocks.

For what it’s worth, my thought was that, made this way, the bullseye (if you put them together that way) is more dominant … and they also could read as a Drunkard’s Path unit if you wanted to use them in a traditional layout for that shape.
