Well, Dolls and Guy, Finally I am happy with my first big quilt top! This has been a terrific, fun, educational and -frustrating at times experience…I have definitely found a passion that will endure as long as I am able bodied. Here are a couple more Charity tops one has the Basket Block…I made some extra ones to go with the Duds/Orphans one I received, the other top uses a chevron I made to go with other left overs…keep in mind, sewing is new to me so there are probably zillions of mistakes. Just thought you might like to see what bits and pieces…even unrelated ones can do even for beginners! ( I am allergic to house work so if you see any dust...

I am hoping that these big O’s lighten up the quilt…I thought they were a tad chunky when I looked at the pattern but, after actually making them I love them! A Lot!!! I am still working on the Suns…I have the rays sorted out and the 2 pieces together to form a whole Sun but stitching them into the background is still being an issue…pleats and gathers all over the place…I am going to go look for freezer paper...
