I’m thrilled to announce that my final squishy of Little Window blocks has finally completed its journey from South Africa to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.  Distance and postal strikes could not prevent this package from arriving. The blocks are great. Now it’s time to get this international quilt started.

Another package just arrived from Cyndi in CA. Almost all have arrived except those coming from South Africa and Mexico. Guess the international packages take a bit longer. Once they arrive, the design process starts. Can`t wait.

Here are my 3 A blocks. The B blocks are on the sewing table waiting for tomorrow. I spent almost an hour trying to find the mistake in the pattern because I was convinced that my blocks were only 13.5 inches. After much measuring and bewilderment, I realized that I was reading the ruler wrong!!! Duh!!!  I could have had all the blocks done if my mind had been a little more awake.  O silly...

More Little Windows were waiting in my mailbox on Friday. Thanks, Jen, they are very nice.  I am also intrigued with the round stamp on the envelope. Getting very excited about the quilt to come.

Happy to report the arrival of yet another packet of little windows. Today’s treasures arrived from Toni in WA. Love the idea of all 4 windows being samples of fabrics from the same color family. Nice blocks.

More little window blocks are arriving in my mailbox. Yesterday brought a surprise from Gail in Las Vegas. Loving the fussy cuts in the windows.  Today saw packages from Margaret in Australia and her flapper prints were really nice; a flowered block from Helen in Nashville and blocks from Karen in Florida. I really am loving the ants in the cherry tree prints and the block with the blue sky background. A lady working at the church luncheon...

Happy to say that 2 more packages of little windows have arrived from my quilting partners in the US.  Thanks to Laurie and Mary Jane. The blocks are lovely. Wondering if 9 patch settings with each group featuring a different solid color might work. Perhaps a red, blue, green etc.  Any thoughts on this?
