The little window squishies are starting to flood my mailbox. Parcels today arrived from Jude in Minnesota and Elizabeth in Michigan. Loving the blocks and can’t wait to start the design process. Thanks for the great blocks, ladies.

Hi, My first squishie has arrived!!! I almost drove past the mailbox, with my mind on other things, but am I ever glad I stopped. A wonderful envelope from Surrey, BC awaited me. So Nicole’s blocks got to Nova Scotia first.  Now to open the package to see what surprises are there! Wow!!   They are so sweet. Now I am really getting excited about the quilt to be! Thanks Nicole for the wonderful start to my next quilt....

Placed my squishies in the mail yesterday, so be on the lookout Elizabeth, Mary Jane and Peggy. I, too, am excited to have been chosen as a winner for August and really loved the blocks. Looking forward to receiving mail from South Africa, the UK, Australia, Mexico, the US and Canada. These blocks will make a truly international quilt! // //

Just got back into the Block Lotto and got 4 blocks made. As I prepared to post them I see that the draw has already been made. So sad. Oh well, February starts tomorrow and I won’t be so late.Congrats to this months winners....

With apologies to Sharon for my lateness, ( of course I have many excuses…none of them valid) I am finally able to declare that my blocks are winging their way to Sharon. I can’t wait to see the amazing quilts the lucky winners create with these blocks. As a result of a very busy August, working a 3 day quilt sale and then doing 5 12 hour shifts in a row quilting for demonstration purposes at a Farm Machinery Museum, my personal sewing time has been limited. I did manage to get 3 Cool Ladders done and here they are. I am getting very anxious to return to my home and open my silly string envelopes. At that time I will re-post the senders in case I have missed some....

I haven’t been home to open them but my daughter says that they  are from: Karen Cooper, Utah (not on my list), Debre W, Texas, Laura R of Georgia,  Sharon C. of Washington, Karen B of Florida, Kathy S of Ohio, Laurina and Maree of New Zealand. There is also a parcel from New Mexico with a last name of Rideout. I can’t wait to get home...

Here are my 9 blocks for July. A bit challenging but a helpful Block Lotto participant gave me the secret to making these—-LOTS OF PINS—something I rarely use. I am also posting a pic of my 3 rejects – not up to my standards because they are rather wonky and swooped.  They might work in my sampler but they are not for anyone else to use.  Sigh  🙁...
