Read MoreCamera loaded this morning so these are 6 more Beads on a String blocks. Which I love, even with a color combo I wouldn’t have put together. It makes me realize I need to practice what I preach about stepping out of your color box. I’m a better quilter for the challenge. I do like the pieced circle technique, too. This block brought out that old favorite technique that I hadn’t used for a while.

Jean-Sophie & I saw this quilt at the IQA Houston show and it’s grand & funny & moo-velous! You can see see it on page 18 of American Quilter magazine from the American Quilters Society. It’s the March 2014 issue and just arrived today. Moo-ray for Julie!

Read MoreI tried piecing the circles and it’s quick & easy. I used the Easy Circle Cut ruler by Sharon Hultgren. The 5″ circle works for the set in circle and the 4″ circle works for the background. Then I press the directions in both the circle & background, pin and sew .25″ seam allowance. I haven’t re-sized the blocks yet to 7.50″ but here are the 1st 3. They maybe more if I can find more maroon fabric...
