It is dark and gray here, the photo makes my blues look so dark too. I cut the triangles bigger than needed. That way I could trim them down. I put the 3 3/4 line at the top and bottom of the square points, then made sure I had a quarter inch beyond the square. Then I used the lines on the cutting board to make the opposite cut. And rechecking the 3 3/4 line, the quarter in extra line AND the 7 1/2 inch line.  I think I ran out of true blues to...

Over the past few days I have received blocks from…Caroline, Cathy L, Julianne, Julie W, Karen B, Karen H (hand delivered!) and Sophie! I couldn’t stand it and laid them out just to see the blocks together so far…....

These blocks remind me of spring and Easter. I was able to get 9 done. I love the way they look together....

Mailed my blocks. As the clerk went from one computer to another to get postage rates, I told her I was giving her a workout. She laughed. She had me write down key words for when my friend Karen comes in with her blocks to mail. Cathy, Geraldine, Dagmar and Mariella can be on the look out for them!

My goal to hit the post office this morning with my blocks to Debbie was met! (The counter is only open from 10:30-11:15) I have no idea how long they will take, but I’ll be watching to see that they get there.

I rarely use green. I was happy to have a chance to make something with it. I haven’t filled the top limit of blocks that can be made in a long time. Here they are! I cut 3 1/2 inch squares for the stars and the 4-patch strips longer too. It is so much nicer to trim away than come up short....

My chevrons were mailed to Jude yesterday. The last of my duds arrived from Marie too. Love love love all of the duds. Now what to do with them…..

I don’t trust my machine applique ability so these were hand sewn down. Then I watched the videos posted that made it look easy. I don’t know if I will get more done or not. The maroon is a problem here too…don’t have a whole lot of it. So 3 is the number for now....

Packages have arrived from Kathy, Terry and Sophie. I had opened Kathy’s on the bus, on the way to school. The kids were having fun picking out what their favorite things were. I am enjoying the surprise of what is inside each package. I’ll take group photo when they are all here!

It took me a minute to figure out where I went wrong. Took the one apart and re-sewed it correctly. I have several that are cut too small. Oh well. I did manage 3. One of each...
