An envelope arrived yesterday from Erin (USA), and today six envelopes from Sophie, Janet, Kathleen, Kathie (all USA) and Melissa (Canada) and Laurina (New Zealand).    Kathie sent me some extra geese and scraps, and Melissa included some fabric with Canadian themed print.  Thank-you to all!

Thanks, Laura, your geese flew into today.  I’m tracking the elapsed days between the dates on the envelopes and the days they arrive and so far yours was the quickest, just seven days.  Just used “Press This” for the first time, works a charm.

Being out of town with a dead phone and no other connectivity over the weekend I nearly missed out on being a winner!  When I got back, a number of patient emails were waiting from Sophie to let me know.  I needed to have replied to the first email confirming acceptance and posting details, and I should have let her know beforehand that I may not be available when the draw happened.  Lesson is, don’t think you won’t win!!  I only...

These are my three flying geese blocks.  As I have been doing a lot of (smaller) paper based piecing recently, I thought it would simple to do these the same way, but they were a little unwieldy because of the piece sizes.  But glad I did...

Managed to get to the post office today to mail my 3 envelopes of blocks.  Even with airmail, will take 7-14 days to get to you.  I think they run with cleft sticks 🙂  Enjoy them!   I’ve just noticed the 8 hour time difference between wherever this is hosted and my local time, so good morning!  … it’s late afternoon here.

I’ve made nine blocks so far this month, but only two are the right size, the other seven are a bit too short, so will keep them, and if I find some time, will make some more.  I also forgot when sewing them up that I had cut the backgrounds from three difference blues, and so mixed them up!  They are fine for me to keep, so not...
