I enjoyed making the first two so I made a third one, all for the draw. I unpicked the tail four times… and then chopped it off by mistake, so had to sew a fifth time!  I am not sure why that suddenly was a problem… maybe just a bit tired. I am keeping my fingers crossed this month! Karen...

These two roosters were just the thing I needed to get me back into sewing!  They are cute!         And last month this was the lone Dresden Plate I made but it didn’t meet the requirements.  When I had printed the pattern I knew the templates were too small, but forgot when I started to cut two weeks later, and also then stitched the tops with a half inch seam (I have no idea why!) and had no time to make any more!  ...

I’ve been on a self-imposed non-sewing regime for nearly two months (stolen laptop+insufficient back-ups=megaton of work to catch up)…. and decided enough was enough… make a block!  I can’t believe how this one simple thing has lifted me out of the misery!   So, here is the one block for July, but do hope to make more time tomorrow to do a couple more.  This block was not too difficult to do, so I’m wondering why...
