I finished the quilt from March’s blocks! I wanted more of a comforter with this one, so I used poly batting, tied it, flannel backing, and then to top it off I used satin blanket binding from my Grandma’s stash...

I have been slowly working on assembly of the 9-patch blocks ( I am making 16 more blocks to make mine 8×8 blocks).  Some of the blocks I received had some off-white, so I used some off-white on the blocks that I’m making to tie it together.  I’m liking this a LOT!  I think that this quilt is telling me that it wants flannel backing and to be yarn-tied instead of quilted and with a loftier batting than I normally use so...

got the last package of blocks from Terry in CA today!!!  Now back to work assembling! 🙂

This is how I’ve decided to assemble my block lotto blocks.  I also decided to make 16 more blocks so I can have an 8×8 block layout. I decided against using sashing.  I will do a narrow border in white and bind it in red 🙂...

I got another squishie in the mail – it was from Ana in Portugal!  Thanks Ana!!!  Only one person left (Terry in CA) to receive blocks from and I’ll be able to start working on the quilt top 😉

I got 3 more packages in the mail yesterday –   3 blocks from Laurina all the way from New Zealand! 2 from Jean-Sophie! and 3 from Maria in Nova Scotia! Thanks so much ladies, getting SO close! 43/48 so far!  Only waiting for blocks from Ana (from Portugal, cool!) and Terry (from CA) now 🙂...
