Power went out today just as I was headed to my sewing room, so I used my time to cut out 3 more leaves and marked the diagonal lines on the background squares.  Of course, after it came back on, I HAD to sew them together!  This makes 6 for me so far. I am going to go ahead and post these 3 blocks, although I am hoping to make some more this month – time slips by on me sometimes and I don’t want to forget.  I love leaf  blocks, and an autumn leaf quilt is on my “to do” list, so I will have my fingers crossed at drawing...

I sent geese flying on their way to Julie, Karen, and Terry yesterday.  Congratulations to all the winners!  (The lady at our little post office is fascinated by all the blocks coming and going, and has made me promise to bring my bird quilts in to show her when they are done,)

I checked my PO box today, and my last tall birds, from Debra, have arrived, so my flock is now complete.  Hoping to find the perfect leaf print, to use as sashing, when I go to town this week.  I am planning to make two quilts, one for me and another for a bird loving friend.  Thanks again to everybody who sent me blocks – they are all beautiful and look great together.  Kathleen
