Good morning.  I got all of my blocks in the mail yesterday, Thursday, 1/2.  Brrrrr.  It was cold.  It was only 11 degrees last night at 11pm.  Glad I got them out because I’m not going anywhere today.  Brrrr. Here are my duds for December, 2013.  One is a scrappy trip that just isn’t big enough.  There are four tall fly blocks that are just a little short too (one of them still has the landing strips attached to it).  Then there’s one basket from last month that didn’t make the quality cut — small also.  Hmmmm.  I think I need to adjust my seam allowances!  You’d think I would learn.  But that’s just it… I...

Here’s the quilt that I made from the Tall Geese blocks that I won in the May 2013, Block Lotto.  Even though the sun wasn’t out when I took this picture,  I love how the colors show up with our 6″ of snow on the ground in Ohio.  I quilted it with a Baptist Fan pattern.  This quilt measures 54″ x 64″.  You can see close-up pictures of the quilting and the back on my blog at http://www.new2quilting.blogspot.com/ ...
