This block was my first encounter with Block Lotto back in 2010, although I only started posting in 2012. My initial blocks used yellow roses but I really wanted purple tones for my quilt. The quilt has been sitting in the cupboard for several years, sandwiched and pinned. I have received some wonderful string blocks this week from Teresa (Monday 16), Kate and Karen B (Wednesday 18) and Kathy S (Friday 20). Thanks you ladies. I am taking note as to the postage costs, size of envelopes etc as the cost of postage seems to differ considerably even though 3 or 4 blocks are mailed. Margaret  

Here are my four red hearts for January 2017. I made the fabric in two pieces rather than a long rectangle. This block also prompted me to get back the constructing barn blocks for OMMS. Hi Sophie, Thanks for a great year of block making. I like the 6 1/2 inch size for postage ease. I have joined the mystery quilt making but I think it gets a bit big and I probably would not do another. Maybe your idea of a sampler would be better.
