Here are my entries for this month. I got bolder with the fabric choices as I proceeded....

I mailed the broken dishes blocks this morning.  Hope to spend some sewing time today working on this month’s cactus pots.

I mailed the puzzle blocks to Georgia and Mississippi today.

The Sneak Peek for the March block caught me when I had a few hours free to sew.  Here are my nine blocks. I got to use up some blue prints that I’ve had for a very long time....

I sent heart blocks out today. It was cheapest to use a 9 x 12 envelope — I tried folding them to fit into a #10 envelope. That was too thick for “letter” rate and I would have had to pay the “package” rate.

I made 9 pieced strings blocks for this month’s lotto but I didn’t stop there.  I alternated the strings with units for the Quiltville En Provence mystery — I’m not sure which were the leaders-and-enders.  I’m all caught up with the mystery units and 72 string blocks are now a flimsy (=unquilted top).  (54 x 66) I’m still going to participate in the lotto!

After 3-1/2 years in BL I have begun to see blocks that might be good for the lotto. (Unusual but not overly intricate.)  I’ve sent them along to Sophie for her idea file.   I was able to participate in all but two months this year — I just couldn’t get the pieced leaves to work out and I don’t have easy access to an enlarging photocopier for the chickens. My right foot is on the mend after bunion surgery (November 22 and re-done December 2).  I can sew left-footed, though I didn’t realize how much I move around to get fabric from the shelf, stand at the cutting table, going over to the ironing board, sitting down to sew.  A bounty of strips given away at the guild holiday party this week provided more than enough for this month’s block.
