Read MoreI mailed the broken dishes blocks this morning. Hope to spend some sewing time today working on this month’s cactus pots.
Read MoreI mailed the puzzle blocks to Georgia and Mississippi today.
Read MoreThe Sneak Peek for the March block caught me when I had a few hours free to sew. Here are my nine blocks. I got to use up some blue prints that I’ve had for a very long time....
Read MoreI sent heart blocks out today. It was cheapest to use a 9 x 12 envelope — I tried folding them to fit into a #10 envelope. That was too thick for “letter” rate and I would have had to pay the “package” rate.
Read MoreYou may recognize some BL blocks in the spare parts flimsy I created in January. This is the third s.p. quilt I’ve made but the first with a coordinated color...
Read MoreHere are nine blocks for February. I went to the Pantone website to be sure I had the right tone for “greenery.” Maybe it’s the word, maybe it’s the color, that led me to think about flowers — hence the floral fabric for the quilter’s choice portion of the...

Read MoreAfter 3-1/2 years in BL I have begun to see blocks that might be good for the lotto. (Unusual but not overly intricate.) I’ve sent them along to Sophie for her idea file. I was able to participate in all but two months this year — I just couldn’t get the pieced leaves to work out and I don’t have easy access to an enlarging photocopier for the chickens. I enjoyed making the blocks for the other ten months. Ideas for...
Read MoreMy right foot is on the mend after bunion surgery (November 22 and re-done December 2). I can sew left-footed, though I didn’t realize how much I move around to get fabric from the shelf, stand at the cutting table, going over to the ironing board, sitting down to sew. A bounty of strips given away at the guild holiday party this week provided more than enough for this month’s block. The pieced strips are a fun accent. Thanks...
