Following Sophie’s suggestion, I looked at black and white as a border for my September win, the 9 Patch Plaids. Though I ordered a couple of them, nothing seemed just right until I found this one.  It is all assembled, back included, and it will soon go off to be quilted.

I am not going to be the last one finished this month! Here are my 5 blocks for donation, even though the one on the far right has an obvious flaw. It is tidy and correctly sized (better than some I have made) so I am including it. My seam ripper was too tired to do any more...

Is anyone else seeing the extra pieces in these blocks?  It seems to be a function of the pattern in the corner fabrics, but I can’t tell exactly what causes this visual addition of (perfectly inserted) pieces. \:-) It isn’t because this one is geometric because I can see it in some of the florals that have been posted....

Only 2 from me for donation as I recently made a quilt with the express purpose of using up every scrap in my stash of cream material smaller than a half yard. It was obviously a success because a thorough search turned up only one small scrap, used for the end pieces here. Rest of the cream prints had to come from yardage and there is very little of that.
