Mailing Info for Violet Blocks

Mailing Info for Violet Blocks

If you made and posted Violet blocks last month, you should have fresh email from me with the mailing info. Please take a moment to make sure the information I have for YOU is correct and let me know if you find an error.  I confess to being a little sleep deprived … which makes me less detail-oriented than I should be, but wanted to get the chart out to all of you so that those 222 violets we made can start flying to the winners. If you...

Orange You Ready to Try Paper Piecing in April?

Orange You Ready to Try Paper Piecing in April?

This is no April Fool’s joke.  Because it is sometimes easiest to realize the design in your head by creating a foundation pattern and paper-piecing it,  It is a good tool to have in your quilting repetoire. In April, we will be making a 6-inch (finished size) Butterfly block. Susan made this one. The block is made from four fabrics: 2 oranges for the wings, a black body and light blue or aqua for the sky (background). See complete fabric...

And the Violet Bouquets Go To …

We ended the month with 222 Violet blocks–enough for five winners. 20 of those were donated without chances, which left 202 names in the drawing. The first two winners will receive a set of 48 blocks; the other three will receive 42 beautiful violets. The result from the integer generator from Random.org:       Two of the numbers were assigned to the same person, so a replacement was selected:     All these lovely...

The Leap Day Winners are …

The Leap Day Winners are …

A funny thing happened when I went to the random.org site to use it to pick our winners … the site was (temporarily?) unavailable. Fortunately, it was only a small hiccup because I still had the random app on my phone, installed when my computer died last year.   We ended the month with 166 blocks, 25 of which were donated with no chance in the drawing.  Our 3 winners are:   Julianne – 56 blocks Jude – 56 blocks...
