The Twinkler blocks were on the design wall for a week and a half. I knew that if I took them down they’d be consigned to the box o’ blocks, not to see the light of day for months.  I contemplated an on-point setting but rejected it because a.  I wanted to use as many of the 46 blocks as I could, b.  9″ blocks on point = 13.5″ (big!), c.  On-point would require setting triangles. I didn’t have enough of any one...

I wasn’t able to participate in February’s Lotto, but I found the pattern was perfect for use.

Some quilters have a go-to quilt or block pattern. I have the set of got-to block patterns … ones I have chosen or created for the Block Lotto.

I had some good Block Lotto email this morning, from June, including this photo of her finished quilt, made from blocks won in 2011.

Whoop Whoop!  I finished my Blue Bars quilt from my winning Block Lotto blocks.  I placed them as if they are dancing and then bordered them in a blue floral…its just perfect, I love it…Thanks ladies for all the wonderful...

Must be tall, long-armed, and willing to make endless adjustments of stance. Photo styling experience a plus.  Here is the 9-Patch Plaid, all put together! To avoid seam matching hysteria, I continued the 1″ border between every square and around the outside edge. That dark area in the middle is only a shadow. These are the blocks I won last July. Only one had a black background and that gave me an idea. I made more black background blocks, they don’t follow the rule of a light/dark combo of the same color, but I thought they blended right in. hi everyone 🙂  way back in 2011 I won some coin stacks 🙂   I finished the flimsy fairly quickly, but there it stayed until recently, when I was motivated to finish it for a friend undergoing chemo. I am quite pleased with how it turned out, and I made a cushion too 🙂 so a big thank you once again, to those that made the coin stacks way back when 🙂  Dianne will get a real kick out of knowing that these blocks came from different parts of the USA...
