I finally had a chance to finish my house. I hate math so opted for appliqué. It was my first time trying it so I hand sewed the doors and windows on. Not too bad for my first try but my biggest challenge was getting the folds on the windows straight instead of slanted, also wasn’t totally sure what stitch to use around the edges.     Here’s my contribution to the neighborhood. I also found this “easy” block challenging.  I think it’s a great idea for an I-Spy quilt or for borders and table runners,  but it took practice for me to produce a house and occupants with pleasing proportions.   The rounded door of the dogs’ house and the circle attic window in the fish house were appliquéd.  I used the freezer paper and glue method...
