Since I finally did a quilt with the blocks I won in 2012 I think I can hope to win sometime again, ha-ha. I think this one was a bit of a lesson in fabric choice for the star in the middle really to show up....

Someone emailed me yesterday and asked for help making the Quarter-square Triangles (QST) that form the points for the star center in this month’s block.   She was cutting them larger and trimming to size and kept ending up with points that were a little unequal. One star chain for donation. I really love my block but since I recently was the reciever of blocks I think I will skip this month. I think the hardest part for me was fabric selection. I had fabric picked out when I received the sneak peak, but I had to pack everything away because we were showing the house on the weekend. When I finally could sew (make a mess) I realized that none of the darker green pieces I had were big enough. So, I’ve gone for lighter greens which I love and I have many to choose from.
