New Kid on the Block

Hello fellow Block Lotto makers! Nice to make your acquaintance!   I joined a few days ago and here are my Easy X blocks.  I made 6 because I thought it was a good exercise in working with black, a color I rarely use.  I have 2 pieces of black in my stash, I guess 3 now counting the Kona black I bought for the blocks.

I live on the west coast of Florida and have been quilting for over 20 years now.  I started out collecting vintage quilts thinking I could never make one.  One rainy afternoon while my daughter was in preschool I wandered into a quilt shop and let the clerk talk me into buying supplies to make a doll quilt.  I was hooked!  I have one grown  daughter who lives in Birmingham, Alabama and who I visit every 6 weeks or so.  We pine for each other on a daily basis.  🙂
