HST quilt

Well I’ve finally finished up a baby-sized quilt using some of the HST blocks I won in March.  I bound it in mint green with white polka dots, AND this was my very first free-motion-quilting project.  I’m very pleased with the result.

I had lots of these blocks left and made a bunch more so I can make a double or queen sized quilt next.  Think I’d get that one professionally quilted though, my little machine would not handle something of that size!

  1. I’ve always liked HSTs, and your layout and color choices have made a very cheerful quilt. Congrats on turning our blocks into a finished product.

    • Thanks everyone! I really like these blocks too and had a great time choosing the layout and doing the FMQ. I was very happy with how well it turned out. And Glen, I’m glad you spotted your block in there! I sewed together the top for the other bunch of blocks I had left and will post another picture of it when it’s totally complete.

  2. Your FMQ looks great!

  3. Lovely!! I even see my block in there!!

    Glen
