Read MoreIs it wrong to make orphans just to make another block? The Sandy Gervais fabric started as a 6.5″ Jane block. I like the X even though I thought it would look more like a butterfly. The other is fabric my Mom gave me with some Sandy Grevais scrap bag fabric and I had to make the b/w 4 patch to get an orphan. Well, the b/w strip was a leftover. I tend to just cut what I need. This is going to make a very fun quilt. Good luck...
