I managed to get 5 Asterisk blocks made.  Carefully attending to seam allowances and good pressing yielded the 8 1/2″ blocks.  If I make more, will cut at 9″ instead of 8 1/2″.   Hope to make more using different...

Here’s my 3 blocks made for February.  Was a challenge for me finding colors I thought did justice to any of the 3 required and not “kill” or totally overshadow the lighter green nor “get lost” with the darker green.  But I like the result.  The tan backgrounds aren’t really that yellow-y....

My 4 String blocks went into the mail today to Margaret in Australia.  I didn’t have a suitable envelope to mail them in so didn’t get them into the mail till today.  Maybe they can work as borders or something for some of Margaret’s animal blocks?  I enjoyed making these blocks and will make myself more. Do we cut away excess background fabric from underneath the Dresden petals and the quarter circle center?  What about the excess fabric under the petal tips?

I’m having difficulty loading the 2 Barn doors I made for the sneak peek so they can be donated.  Now I see they are already on the picture page — the one with concrete print and other with a tan mini-check print.  Not sure what I am doing wrong this time, but I’ve actually made 2 of each so don’t need the #2’s.
